I do think Violette should keep/get his pension because there was no law in Maine stating that once you are convicted of a crime you can not acquire your pension. With that said, morally, I do not think he should be allowed his pension for one reason in particular, he made a huge crime against his own company who he would be getting his pension from. He will be in jail for a few years and he does need money to survive when he gets released.

I think the government has the responsibility of providing a healthy lunch at school. If kids want a junk food lunch, they can bring one and that is their parents responsibility. But, if a school is providing junk food and healthy food, which one do you think they're going to pick? That's the right, junk food! Schools need to help prevent childhood obesity, at least at school.

One reason that job hopping is bad for your career is that they don't stay in one job long enough to acquire the necessary skills to be good and successful in that business. Another reason is that most companies like to see that you've been in one job with one company for a long time and acquired skills in a business. I like to see that you're loyal and that you're determined. I agree with this article because all of the points the author is making are coming across strongly and he made me believe him. His process of thinking makes a lot of sense to me, therefore I definitely agree that job hopping is not a good idea.

I think it is important to keep the internet uncensored, but I also feel like it should be censored. I think the internet should stay the same because it hasn't been a problem to the public, but apparently foreign websites and stealing jobs from Americans, which is not good. So honestly, I can't decide, it's a split decision for me.

I don't think this bill is a good idea. To me, the internet is fine as it is and doesn't need to be changed. Yes, there are faulty and untrustworthy sites out there, but that's the risk you take when using the internet. There are some big problems like copyright infringement, but I think that those sites in particular should be shut down, not them in general.

Narcissus is the son of the river God. He was a handsome young man, and many women and men fell in love with him. He rejected them, harshly. Ameinias sent the Gods to punish him, and they had him look at his own reflection. He fell in love with himself and proceeded to drown himself when trying to touch it. The Narcissus flower is named after him which makes sense because it's a very beautiful flower. and is commonly known.

One very stormy night, the White family sits around a fire, enjoying each other and staying safe from the storm. An old friend, Sargent-Major Morris stops by and enjoys their company. Mr. White, out of conversation, brought up Morris' story of a monkey's paw, wondering more about it. He did not want to discuss it, by Mrs. White inquired him, also. Morris pulled out a mummified monkey's paw, he said it was magic. He said a spell had been placed on it so that 3 men could each have 3 wishes. He said he had had his 3 and turned white with a sick look on his face. Another man had his 3 wishes, also. The 3rd wish was for death. Suddenly, he threw the paw into the fire; quickly, Mr. White dived for the paw and rescued it, saying that if he didn't want it, that he did. Morris warned him, but he did not listen. Mr. White made a wish for 200 pounds, heard a crash from the piano, and yelled. The paw moved around like a snake as he wished and the money was not there. The next day, Mrs. White saw a nicely dressed man outside her house, looking as if he was considering whether or not to enter their house. She let him in and delivered the news that their son had been caught in the machinery and died. The company compensated them 200 pounds, acquiring their wish. 10 days later, after Herbert had been buried, the wife realized they had 2 more wishes! She made her husband wish their son alive again, which he did. They heard a knock on the front door, Mr. White was terrified and reluctant but his wife was ecstatic. Frantically, the husband searched for the paw, not wanting for her to let whatever outside in, he wished for whatever it was to go away. She got the door opened, and the knocking ceased. She cried and ran outside. Herbert was gone.

I think the Occupy Maine group has the right do do what they are doing, but I feel as though they are taking it over board. There are horrible acting and homeless people staying there, not even part of the movement. The act wasn't doing anything they were hoping for and has no effect. That said, they have the right, but I don't think that they should be taking such advantage of it. I definitely think they have gone too far.

Lamb to the Slaughter is about a woman named Mary Maloney, who is told some very bad news from her husband. One day, when he came home for a long day of work as a police officer, he was very disengaged with her and she was scared. He sat her down and told her something, but it is not put into the story. From what I inferred/imagined was that he wanted a divorce. Mrs. Maloney very calmly sits there and listens, acting as if she didn't hear a thing at all. She just sat on the couch, staring at the man she loved so much for minutes. Finally, she stood up and said she would make some supper. She got a frozen leg of lamb from the freezer, she wanted to throw up, everything was automatic for her, like she wasn't in control. Mr. Maloney became angry, not wanting her to make him supper. Then, she came upstairs with the rock hard leg of lamb, quietly walked up behind him, and slammed it down the top of his head as hard as she could. He fell to the ground, dead. She stood there staring at his dead body, comprehending what she just did. She slowly walked into the kitchen, and put the lamb in the oven. She decided to go the store to pick up somethings for dinner. She rehearsed what she was going to say, to pass off an act of not knowing what happened to him. She walked back to her house with her groceries, and yelled when she came in, "Patrick! How are you, darling?" She placed her groceries down and called the police, she said he was lying on the floor dead, sobbing. The police arrived and she was distraught, she didn't have to act. She had to get rid of the evidence, she offered the officers dinner over and over again. Finally they agreed, and Mrs. Maloney sighed a huge sigh of relief. She came out of the kitchen with the lamb. The officers spoke with each other, puzzled because they could not find a murder weapon. At the very end the officers say,"Personally, I think it's right here on the premises." "Probably right under our very noses. What do you think, Jack?" Then, in the other room, Mrs. Maloney giggled to herself.

- The setting was in the Bronze age, 12th century BCE
- The date of publication is unknown.

I think that the drug testing is a good idea. I think this because if people on welfare are doing illegal things and are spending our government's money on drugs, they should be taken off of it! Also, if people are aware of a future drug testing, they may stop. So it could be motivation for becoming sober. I really think this is a really great idea, and that we need to cut down the population of who is on welfare, I do not see a problem with this new bill.

My Christmas vacation was spent with my friends, boyfriend, family and baby sister. Kerrigan was born on the 19 and came home from the NICU on Christmas Eve! I spent a lot of time helping my mom take care of her and went shopping a lot. I also did a lot of housework and cleaned my room for visitors, etc. I had a ton of homework, too! I had two projects and homework in every subject, except English. (Thank you!) The vacation seemed really short to me, just because I was so busy! I felt like we should've had Wednesday off too, but what we had was fine and I was thankful.
