I think that it's absolutely ridiculous that schools are getting the option to use pink slime.  It's an outrage.  Obviously schools that choose to use pink slime in children's school lunches don't care at all about the kids eating it.  It is absolutely disgusting.  This pink slime was initially intended for dog food, not for humans!  I also can't believe that even McDonald's and other fast food chains discontinued using this, and schools are considering it! Schools need to step up and buy real, actual meat, not some crap that's made for dogs.  It should not be allowed anywhere near the food industry and stop being processed immediately.  I don't care how cheap it is, if I was a parent I would be mortified to hear that my child's school is serving pink slime and not real meat.  I would call the school and complain, in fact, my mom already has.  It goes against what schools are supposedly standing for, for children to have proper nutrition and healthy choices.  Using pink slime is despicable.
